We went to San Antonio to join The Old Man while he had a conference. Sea World and the Riverwalk for four days was amazing! Photos to prove it.

The Ruined Vacation

The Boss had the week off of daycare this week as she was scheduled for VBS in the mornings and soccer camp with her team in the evenings. I was to take her to VBS each morning while stopping by La Madeleine for an amazing breakfast. The Old Man was taking off the afternoons and had a list of fun activities for them. Such was not the case.

On Sunday after a couple hours of swimming The Boss ate some chips and fell asleep. We couldn't wake her up for dinner but such is often the case when she has been swimming. A couple of hours later she woke up profusely vomiting. She continue to do so through Tuesday. So, no VBS and we re-scheduled soccer camp but she of course won't be attending with her teammates. I felt so badly that her "vacation" was ruined. I also didn't want The Old Man and I to continue to take time off with her when there wasn't anything fun we were willing to subject her to (i.e. a day at the water park). When we contacted daycare about her attending Thursday & Friday, we were told we would have to pay for the full week. So, once again our great friends M&M to the rescue. Mrs. M offered for The Boss to come play there for Thursday & Friday! Not only was that helpful to The Old Man and I for work reasons but now The Boss feels she is getting to do something special with her "vacation".

There is nothing better than good friends!

The Monster....

As I have seen my daughters firmly wrap their Daddy tightly around their little finger, I have to admit that this little man has stolen my heart. While I don't understand why every toy, sandwich, fishing pole and hair brush (just to name a few) must be utilized to shoot something we do share an appreciation for snuggle time! He will start Pre-K in August and is excited at being at the big kids school with The Boss. In the meantime, I am going to try to continue capturing every precious moment and try not to be so frustrated with the no-so-precious ones.
