The Crib is Gone.....

After 9 years of having the crib in our home (at times converted to a toddler bed) we have replaced it with Doodlebug's first big girl bed.

Eventually she will have one that matches her sister's. We wanted her to first get use to sleeping in a big bed before we put it up on a frame. The Old Man also needed some time to re-finish her head board and foot board. The beds were once a part of his room when he was a little boy. Just one of the amazing things from his child hood he has been able to pass along to the children.

Busy Weekend At the Shoe

Friday Night was the Daddy Daughter Dance. This was Doodlebug's first year to be old enough to attend. You whould have thought it was Prom she was so excited!

Saturday Doodlebug had her first sleepover guest. They had a BLAST playing dress-up, with doll houses and just hanging out as four-year old's do.

On Sunday I took the crew to see Click Clack Moo at Dallas Children's Theater where we met up with former daycare friends!

Do I Even Remember How to Use This Thing..

Been awhile.... I took some time this morning to review through where I left off in the blog world and realized how much I enjoy having this as a scrap book or sorts. I had every intention of posting after out Disney trip at the beginning of December but my law firm had other plans for my time. Now that I have completed my work on the patent case from hell, maybe just maybe I can come back to the blog world. I am making no attempt to "catch up" but am only going to move forward!

With that being said, I can't go on without a Happy Birthday (very much belated as her birthday was December 1st) to the Doodlebug. I do think I get some credit since she did get to spend her birthday having bruch with Cinderella and the other princesses in Cinderella's castle.
